The conference is co-hosted by the China Enterprises Going Global Alliance and the Global Business Federation, and co-organized by the Global Value Investment Association (GVIA) and the Saudi-Hong Kong Business Council (SHKBC). As a key bridge connecting the mainland, Hong Kong and global resources, GVIA actively participated in the planning and organization of the conference. Leveraging its unique strengths in cross-border capital matching, international resource integration and cross-market linkage between the two regions, GVIA built a cooperation network for participating enterprises spanning the mainland, Hong Kong and the world.
Heavyweight guests including Sha Zukang, former UN Under-Secretary-General; Long Yongtu, Chief Negotiator for China’s WTO accession, former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, and former Secretary-General of the Boao Forum for Asia; and Cheng Hanwen, Chairman of the China Enterprises Going Global Alliance, attended the conference and delivered keynote speeches. Over 200 representatives from government agencies, industry associations, multinational corporations, professional service institutions and the media gathered for in-depth exchanges under the conference theme of Trust & Synergy, Sailing Together.
Taking Stock of Era Opportunities, Charting Going Global Strategies
Amid profound adjustments in the global economic landscape, the globalization process faces new opportunities and challenges. China’s "Going Global" initiative is advancing from product export and production capacity cooperation to higher stages of brand globalization, technology globalization and ecosystem globalization. Against this backdrop, the conference focuses on core issues in the global layout of Chinese enterprises, aiming to build a high-end platform for government-enterprise communication, resource matching and experience sharing, and provide all-round intellectual support and service guarantees for Chinese enterprises expanding into overseas markets.
In his keynote speech, Long Yongtu pointed out that the "Going Global" of Chinese enterprises is an important part of the country’s opening-up strategy and an inevitable choice for enterprises to achieve high-quality development. He emphasized that amid the current complex international economic and trade environment, Chinese enterprises should firm up their confidence in globalization, fully leverage China’s advantages in complete industrial and supply chains and abundant talent resources, and enhance their core competitiveness in international competition. Meanwhile, enterprises should focus on compliant operation and localized development, actively fulfill social responsibilities, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes with host countries.
From an international perspective, Sha Zukang analyzed the opportunities and challenges facing Chinese enterprises amid the ongoing transformation of the global governance system. He stated that in the process of "Going Global", Chinese enterprises should thoroughly understand international rules, respect local cultures and customs, strengthen communication and dialogue with the international community, integrate into the global market with an open and inclusive attitude, and contribute corporate strength to advancing the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
Building a Service Ecosystem, Empowering Enterprises to Sail Far
In his address, Cheng Hanwen, Chairman of the China Enterprises Going Global Alliance, stated that the Alliance has always been committed to providing one-stop comprehensive services for Chinese enterprises going global, helping them solve pain points and difficulties in overseas development. He noted that the true spring of Belt and Road e-commerce and globalization development has just begun, with enormous opportunities. Chinese enterprises should dare to go global, gain in-depth understanding of local conditions, and seek broader development space in the global market.
A highlight of this year’s event is the concurrent holding of the Going Global Comprehensive Service Ecosystem Partners Conference. Focusing on the full-chain service needs of enterprises going global, the conference brings together professional service institutions in finance, law, accounting, intellectual property, human resources, cross-border logistics, digital marketing, consulting and certification. It is committed to building a full-cycle comprehensive service ecosystem covering pre-departure – during expansion – post-establishment, providing solid service support for the global layout of Chinese enterprises.
During the conference, a grand Going Global Series Achievement Launch Ceremony was held, showcasing landmark achievements of Chinese enterprises going global in recent years and the latest progress in service ecosystem development. Song Junyi, Executive Director of GVIA and Vice President & Head of Saudi-Hong Kong Investment Fund, took the stage as a representative to co-launch ten major initiatives including the "Going Global Culture Showcase", "Global Expo Tour" and "Global Public Welfare Charity Campaign". He also participated in the Going Global Global Ecosystem Partners signing ceremony, co-signing cooperation agreements with multiple partners covering cross-border investment and financing matching, industrial fund cooperation, and Hong Kong and overseas market expansion.
Saudi-Hong Kong Business Council: Seizing Era Opportunities, Building a Bridge for Bilateral Cooperation
In recent years, as the Belt and Road Initiative enters its second decade of high-quality development, strategic alignment between Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia has continued to accelerate. In 2025, the Belt and Road Office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia further signed a special memorandum of understanding on cooperation, fully supporting Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification transformation under Vision 2030. Against this era-defining opportunity, the Saudi-Hong Kong Business Council (SHKBC) was established as a key vehicle for business communities on both sides to proactively build platforms for cooperation.
With Hong Kong as its "super connector", SHKBC is dedicated to linking capital, industry, technology and markets, translating high-level strategic consensus into tangible implementation at the enterprise level. The Council brings together business leaders, professional service institutions and leading industrial enterprises from both sides. Focusing on key areas including trade and investment, financial cooperation, infrastructure development, energy transition, digital economy and technological innovation, it organizes business visits, project matching, policy seminars and professional training, building a regular communication and cooperation mechanism for enterprises on both sides and advancing Saudi-Hong Kong cooperation from government-level strategic planning to enterprise-level practical outcomes.
Saudi-Hong Kong Investment Fund: Linking Bilateral Capital, Empowering Enterprises to Sail Far
As an important capital operation platform under GVIA and SHKBC, the Saudi-Hong Kong Investment Fund leverages Hong Kong’s unique position as an international financial center. Focusing on the two-way investment demand of mainland enterprises "going global" and high-quality overseas resources "coming in", it aims to build a professional bridge connecting mainland industrial capital with Hong Kong and global capital markets.
Guided by the core philosophy of industry as the foundation, capital as the wing, bilateral linkage, global layout, the Fund fully leverages Hong Kong’s functional advantages as an international asset management center and offshore RMB hub. It integrates the abundant resources of GVIA and SHKBC to provide portfolio companies with value-added services including overseas compliance consulting, international market matching, cross-border tax planning and high-end talent recruitment. Building a three-in-one empowerment model of capital + industry + services, it effectively helps enterprises solve pain points such as financing difficulties, compliance challenges and implementation barriers in the process of going global.
Building Consensus, Envisioning a Win-Win Future
Participants generally agreed that amid headwinds to economic globalization, Chinese enterprises should further strengthen their confidence in opening-up and cooperation. With mutual trust as the foundation, collaboration as the path, and win-win results as the goal, they should demonstrate the responsibility and initiative of Chinese enterprises in the global market. The successful holding of this conference has built consensus, pooled resources and established platforms for Chinese enterprises going global, and will effectively promote Chinese enterprises’ participation in international cooperation and competition at a higher level, in broader areas and at a deeper level.
GVIA, SHKBC and the Saudi-Hong Kong Investment Fund stated that they will take this conference as a new starting point to continuously deepen the connection and integration of mainland, Hong Kong and global resources. Relying on professional capital platforms and a comprehensive service system, they will provide all-round support for Chinese enterprises going global, including cross-border capital, international channels and professional services. Working hand in hand with all partners, they will jointly write a new chapter in the globalization development of Chinese enterprises.
